"Build it and they will come" - Field of Dreams Ok, so you've decided that you want to tackle this indie music industry caper by getting a band together. You have written some songs, learnt some covers but there is one missing ingredient left to consider. Getting some band members.

There's nothing quite like live music and it is becoming increasingly popular to hire a band for a wedding reception, business function, party or other special occasion. However, some people may be reluctant to hire a live band without knowing the musicians or having a particular recommendation from a friend or colleague. Although live music can sound really amazing it needs musicians with a professional attitude to make a special occasion really special.

Confession, a four-piece rock band from Schuylkill County, is not your typical PA band. Sure, they have the usual history - members joining and leaving, a name change ("We used to be called Sinecure, which means a job that requires no work . . . It is a cool word, but nobody remembered it."), playing to only handfuls of people, and the usual early songs about relationships and teenage life.

Many of today's young music lovers may not even know what sheet music is, and that's a shame because band music is still one of the most beautiful forms of art available to us. And many of the ones that do know what concert band music or band music is, think that it is some magical pieces of writing that can only be read by accomplished musicians. Nothing further from the truth, sheet music is just a form of transcribing music using musical notes.
